Privacy policy

What we collect
We collect information you choose to submit through our contact, treatment-matching, and provider-application forms. For a patient matching request this can include your name, contact information, country or region, treatment category, timing, general dental situation, imaging status, travel readiness, budget readiness, priorities, and notes. We also receive standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location by country or region, device type, and referring site.
Health information you send us
Information about your dental situation may be health-related information. Our matching form asks only for general planning information and specifically asks you not to upload medical records. If you separately send scans, X-rays or treatment plans, we use them only for the purpose you requested. We do not publish health information or use it for advertising.
Who processes data for us
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site usage. It sets cookies and collects a truncated IP address.
- Google Apps Script — receives contact form submissions and stores them in a private spreadsheet.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message us there, that conversation is governed by Meta's privacy terms as well as this policy.
- Our hosting provider — keeps standard server logs.
What we do not do
We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in a contact or matching form. We do not run advertising retargeting pixels on this site. We do not share a patient matching request with a dental provider unless the patient has explicitly agreed to that sharing.
Referrals to providers
If you submit a provider-matching request and explicitly consent, we may share the request with up to three dental providers that may be able to assist you. This can include your name, contact details, treatment category, timing, travel information, priorities, and the general dental information you entered. Participating providers may pay MedellinDentalImplants.co for introductions. That compensation does not determine a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or which provider you must choose. Once your information is with a provider, that provider’s own privacy practices apply.
How long we keep things
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you started earlier. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention. Ask us to delete your records sooner and we will.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Email andy@colombiamedical.co and we will act within 30 days. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site works without them.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Our readers are mostly in the United States and Canada; our operations are in Colombia. Information you send may be processed in either place, and in the United States where our service providers operate.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
